1. Quaife's technical department has placed particular emphasis on optimising the ratios for the QKE7H MA gear kit, specifically for higher powered cars using the TU5J4 16-valve engine, enabling significant performance improvements over the standard MA items. The selector forks are made from aluminium bronze which has good wearing properties and high bending resistance. The selector mechanism has been designed to offer a fast reliable change and the shift pattern has been arranged with first on a dog leg, to the left and back. The QKE7H features five gear ratios, with each gear being considerably wider than the standard MA items for enhanced durability, while the advanced ‘open face' four dog design ensures ultra-rapid gearshifts. Straight cut, close ratios allow tuned engines to remain in power band with minimal power losses. |
