1. Built for the (03-06) Nissan 350Z... Stage 2 Sport: Sprung Center - Road + Track UseEXEDY cerametallic clutches are desinged to handle the abuse of higher power modified engines. EXEDY's cerametallic friction material can handle much more slippage than stock type disc assemblies without slipping and fading.All EXEDY cerametallic clutch discs have sprung center dampers to reduce the impact and shock loads put into the drivetrain. This protects the transmission and the rest of the drive line system.The normal thickness (thick cerametallic) discs have better heat capacity and therefore better durability in demanding applications such as all wheel drive. Even with the normal thickness, the three puck cerametallic discs still typically have less inertia than a stock disc and is good for street and track.With any cerametallic clutch system, there will be some compromise of start up driveability as compared to a stock clutch (chatter on light throttle, low rpm start up). This charactersistic is generally felt ot be acceptable in modified performance cars. Drivers of cerametallic clutches on the street should be warned not to "ride the clutch" to try to reduce the chatter as this will greatly increase the wear.Note: stage 3 and up do not come with throw-out bearingsNOTE: Items with Prices of $0.00 Have not been released yet, please call to inquire about price and availability |

Built for the (08 and up) Mitsubishi EVO... This kit utilizes a Heavy Duty Pressure Plate, which is superior to the stock pressure plate with greatly increased clamping force. This kit comes with an ACT Street Disc which is designed for smooth engagement, quiet operation and improved durability using only the best organic, sprung center designs.All clutch kits include throwout bearing and alignment tool (if applicable). When built pressure is increased in the right way. Altering the geometry alone is not enough. Instead, ACT engineers a stronger diaphragm. ACT diaphragms are heat-treated using an exclusive 3-stage process and the release bearing contact area is hardened to reduce wear. ACT also designs the pressure and release travel of the unit to be in the optimum working range and assures consistency and precision by using proven assembly procedures. Every unit ACT produces is accurately balanced and tested. |
